Michael Stewart
Founder & CEO
Mike is the founder of Cardiff with 30 years of trading and sales experience. He retired as managing director at Credit Suisse in New York, overseeing global equities and equity research. Prior to that, he held senior roles at UBS, Merrill Lynch, and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He has served on various boards and advisory committees in the financial industry, including the Global Financial Markets Association and UC Santa Barbara's Center for Research in Financial Mathematics and Statistics. He is also a trustee of the UC Santa Barbara Foundation.

Jaahred Thomas
Founding Partner & COO
Jaahred is a Founding Partner of Cardiff and spent 30 years in institutional equity sales. He spent the majority of his time in Media & Technology, Healthcare, Financials, & Consumer/Retail sectors and brings this valuable public market finance and investing experience to Cardiff. He began his career with Hambrecht & Quist (H&Q) as a sales assistant just as the financing wave of Web 1.0 companies was kicking off, and after 3 years was co-managing one of the largest books of business at the firm. He subsequently went on to assume increasingly senior roles with JPMorgan, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, and Oppenheimer. When not feverishly diving into the merits of a company’s business plan, or voraciously consuming the news, Jaahred can be found on the courts shooting hoops & playing tennis with his daughters. He also enjoys trying new restaurants with his wife and college sweetheart, who thankfully happen to be the same person.
